Q2 2024 Interactive Story Games Surge on iOS in the UK

Interactive Story Games on iOS have seen varying trends in the UK for the second quarter of 2024. In this analysis, we provide a snapshot of the performance of the top five titles in this category, with data courtesy of Sensor Tower.

GossipMaster, despite not generating revenue, experienced an initial peak with 35K downloads at the beginning of April, which gradually tapered off to 3.6K by late June. The weekly active users also followed a descending trend, starting at around 45K and settling near 32K.

Episode - Choose Your Story showed more resilience in revenue, peaking at $54K in the first week of April, and while it saw some fluctuation, it ended the quarter with a healthy $38K. Downloads began at 11.5K and dipped to 4.8K, whereas weekly active users saw a mid-quarter spike, reaching 25.5K in early June.

Fusebox Games's Love Island: The Game stood out with a significant revenue increase in June, jumping from around $24K to over $50K, possibly indicating a seasonal trend. Downloads and active users also increased, with downloads more than doubling from early April's 3.6K to over 9K by the end of June.

SUPERSONIC STUDIOS LTD's Family Life!, similar to its counterpart GossipMaster, did not generate revenue. However, it maintained a steady base of weekly active users starting at 25K and rising slightly to around 23.5K. Downloads saw a decline from 9.6K to 3.8K over the quarter.

Winked: Choose, Swipe, Flirt experienced a moderate start in revenue at $13K and ended the quarter with an uptick at $8.7K. The downloads showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, from 2.3K to 3.5K, while weekly active users saw a gradual increase from 16K to nearly 14K.
